PROJECT MANAGER/PROJECT
MANAGER TRAINEE

This individual will be involved in managing project events
from initiation through implementation and will interact with application
developers, QA analysts, senior management and external customers.
Job duties will include the following:
 |
Communicate
project status through weekly project status reports |
 |
Interview
internal and external stakeholders to understand business needs and
translate them into functional requirements |
 |
Manage
customer expectations; drive timely completion of deliverables |
 |
Be
responsible for resource allocation, project budget, and proactive
management of the issues |
 |
Manage
project teams of 3-12 members |
 |
Assist
IT management in the awareness and coordination of current and upcoming
project resource needs to support business and project objectives |
The successful candidate will possess the following:
 |
Strong
organization skills as well as excellent oral and written communications
skills |
 |
Strong
analytical, facilitation and negotiation skills |
 |
Bachelor’s
degree in Accounting, Computer Science, English (MA preferred but not
required) or equivalent work experience |
 |
3-5
years of experience in transportation and/or warehouse management
environment and/ or project management preferred |
 |
Experience
creating project deliverables such as scope statement, risk management plan,
communication plan, requirements document, system acceptance, etc. |
 |
Experience
writing using case-style requirements |
 |
Ability
to work on concurrent projects and balance priorities |
 |
High
level of proficiency in project planning tools such as MS Project, MS Office
Suite (Access, Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio) |
