TRANSPORTATION MANAGEMENT SOLUTION PLUS
ScanData's Transportation Management Solution Plus (TMS ) is our
deployment of either our fully integrated solution or our Engine-Only
solution but with additional components
for extensive data analysis and
projection building to support robust transportation planning.
With ScanData's TMS
deployed, system processing occurs according to the
underlying system installed (fully integrated or Engine-Only), but routing
and delivery method plans can be determined by ScanData's system to best leverage
carrier discounts and incentives with regard to shipment volume distribution in
conjunction with available consolidation and drop shipping points.
TMS
The projection capabilities of TMS can be utilized in three base ways: as
part of daily processing, as support for derivation of host-system business
rules, or in support of carrier negotiations.
The most seamless and integrated utilization of ScanData's TMS is as part of
daily processing. ScanData can accept a day's or wave's worth of data and,
within that batch, determine and assign the most efficient and cost-effective
routing and delivery method plan, taking into consideration available
consolidation and drop points and those points' respective minimums as well as
associated carrier incentives and discounts.
For those enterprises that need to maintain control of routing and delivery
method plans on their host systems, ScanData's TMS can be used to run daily,
weekly, monthly, yearly, or peak-only analyses to assist in host-side setup and
maintenance of these plans.
Finally, TMS can be used to run carrier simulations in support of carrier
negotiations. "What if" carrier configuration data can be entered and
projections run against those configurations and compared to projection results
from existing configurations.
